Experience the Journey…
“Your feet walk upon the earth and through this your spirit is connected to the universe. Our feet are our contact with the Earth and the energies that flow through it.” ~Bear Clan Tribe/Cherokee Nation – 1690’s
The Bear Clan Tribe, along with so many ancient cultures, believed reflexology improved one’s whole health. I hold to this same conviction. My passion and the knowledge that each of us has the ability to help our bodies maintain a healthy balance propelled me on my personal odyssey to becoming a reflexologist. My hope is to help each of you find and hold onto your healthy balance.
Let’s work together to achieve your equilibrium.
Reflexologists understand the entire body is mirrored in the feet, hands and ears through a system of reflexes. Reflexology is not a massage but rather a gentle method of applying finger and thumb pressures to reflex areas and nerves. There are 7000 plus nerve pathways in the human foot. These nerves are innervated through this process of touch. The stimulation of the nerves opens immediate back and forth communication between the body and the brain. The body then seeks to find and sustain a state of homeostasis (internal stability). Simply stated, reflexology helps the body work towards healing itself.
Benefits of reflexology:
- Reduces stress, tension and anxiety
- Increases blood and oxygen flow
- Reduces inflammation
- Reduces pain
- Improves sleep patterns
- Cleanses toxins from the body and boosts the immune system
- Works to bring balance to all the body’s systems
Reflexology helps with a myriad of issues some of which are:
- Allergies, (food, seasonal, environmental)
- Auto-Immune Diseases
- Back/Neck/Muscle Pain
- Digestive Issues
- Hormone Imbalance
- Joint Pain/Arthritis /Bursitis/ Tendonitis
- PMS/PMDD and Menopause
